My Breeding → Litters → Active (Kanban)
Track your active litters by progress: planned, mated/pregnant, and everything else — with fast desktop drag-and-drop and a mobile move sheet.
Applies to: the Active tab only
Desktop: drag with the handle
Mobile: move with the Move button
The board is a workflow tool — it does not replace the detailed litter drawer.
Click a card to open the drawer and edit full details.
What this page is for
The Active tab is a kanban board that helps you manage litters that are in progress — from planning and heat waiting, through mating and pregnancy, and anything that doesn’t fit those stages.
Columns in the Active tab
Planned (waiting heat)
Litters in planning stage. Typically status: Planned.
Mated & pregnant
Litters after mating. Status is usually Mated or Pregnant.
Other
Anything else that is still active but not in the two main workflow stages.
Desktop: Drag to move (smooth animation)
- Find the card you want to move.
- Use the drag handle (the grip icon on the card).
- Drag the card to another column, then drop.
The entire card is clickable to open the drawer — only the handle is used for dragging.
This prevents accidental drawer opens while moving cards.
Mobile: Move button
- Open the desired lane (column) using the lane picker.
- Tap Move on a card.
- Select the destination column from the bottom sheet.
On mobile, dragging can be frustrating. The Move flow gives a predictable, tap-friendly way to place items into the right column.
Edit column names
In the Active tab, you can rename the column titles to match your personal workflow (for example: “Waiting heat”, “Pregnancy”, “Hold / On pause”).
- Click Edit column names.
- Type your new titles.
- Click Save.
Column names are currently saved per browser (local storage).
If you use a different browser/device, you may need to set them again.
What each card shows
Pair (Sire × Dam)
The main title line shows the planned pair: Sire × Dam.
Breed
Shown under the title line.
Status
Every card shows the litter status (for example: Planned, Mated, Pregnant).
Pregnancy day
If status is Pregnant and the litter has a mating date, the card will show: Pregnancy day: X.
Pregnancy day is calculated from the mating date (day 1 is the mating date day).
If the mating date is missing, pregnancy day will not be shown.
Troubleshooting
I can’t drag the card on desktop
Make sure you are dragging using the handle icon (grip). Clicking the card opens the drawer.
Pregnancy day doesn’t show
Pregnancy day appears only when status is Pregnant and a valid mating date exists.
My column names reset
Column names are stored per browser/device. Clearing browser storage or switching devices can reset them.
